1. Introduction

Lisa Suite is a software package specifically designed for the textile industry. It is an ongoing project by Limonta Informatica, in which MOST, in partnership with Gridsig, was involved from the start to establish the foundational design system and to develop Lisa ERP, Lisa Quality, Lisa Lab, and Checklist.

2. Design System

The design system for Lisa Suite serves as the foundational framework that guides the user experience and interface consistency across all applications. It establishes a unified set of principles, visual components, and interaction patterns to ensure a seamless and intuitive experience for users. Designed with a primary focus on touch screens and, secondly, on traditional human-machine interfaces, this system defines key elements such as color schemes, typography, icons, and layout structures. In doing so, it enables a cohesive look and feel while improving the efficiency of the design and development process. This approach not only enhances usability but also ensures scalability, making it easier to adapt and expand the software suite as the needs evolve.

3. Lisa ERP - Wireframe

The wireframes designed for Lisa Suite are a crucial step in translating the design system into a practical interface. They serve as a visual blueprint, outlining the basic structure and layout of each application screen without the distraction of final design details. These wireframes focus on organizing content, defining user flows, and establishing the hierarchy of elements, ensuring that each function is placed logically and intuitively. By mapping out core user interactions early in the design process, the wireframes help in identifying potential usability challenges, guiding both design and development teams toward a user-centered and efficient final product. This preliminary stage was invaluable for aligning the project vision and functionality, providing a strong foundation for the later stages of UI design and prototyping

4. Lisa ERP - UI

The UI design for Lisa Suite builds upon the wireframes, bringing the interfaces to life with a polished, visually cohesive aesthetic that aligns with the brand’s identity. Guided by the established design system, the UI incorporates consistent colors, typography, and iconography. The layout prioritizes readability and ease of navigation, ensuring that users can quickly access key functions. Special attention was given to creating an intuitive and visually engaging experience, where elements are clearly distinguishable, actions are straightforward, and workflows feel seamless. By integrating feedback from early prototypes, the UI was refined to meet the real-world needs, balancing functionality with a sleek, modern look that encourages productive and enjoyable use of the suite.

5. Lisa Quality

Lisa Quality is a specialized software solution developed to assist operators in the textile industry with quality control. Its primary purpose is to streamline the inspection process by helping operators of textile control machines efficiently identify, mark, and document any defects or irregularities in the produced fabrics. This includes detecting issues such as color inconsistencies, fabric distortions, pattern misalignments, and surface imperfections that could impact the overall quality of the product.

HIGH FEDELTY PROTOTYPING & UI

We chose Axure RP to develop high-fidelity mockups for Lisa Quality because it offers a powerful mix of design and prototyping capabilities that allow for detailed, interactive representations of the software. Unlike basic wireframing tools, Axure RP enables us to simulate complex user interactions and workflows, which is essential for a quality control software where usability and functionality are key. With Axure, we could create a realistic prototype that not only reflects the visual design but also mimics the actual functionality of the software, including user inputs, data displays, and error-marking processes. This level of fidelity in the mockup provides valuable insights into the user experience, allowing us to test and refine interactive elements before development.

6. Lisa Lab

Lisa Lab is a module designed to seamlessly integrate into both the quality control framework and the Research and Development (R&D) department. This innovative tool is utilized internally by companies adopting the Lisa Suite to precisely track and record laboratory analyses conducted on samples of newly produced batches. Its versatility makes it suitable for a variety of needs, allowing for efficient management of laboratory data while facilitating communication with external laboratories entrusted with specific analyses.

7. Checklist

Checklist is a straightforward and intuitive software whose usefulness is reflected in its name. This tool is used daily by production line supervisors to monitor and track the status of ongoing tasks, verify the outcomes of completed work, and view planned future operations. Designed in close collaboration with the operators who use it daily, Checklist has been seamlessly integrated into their workflow. This collaborative approach allows for smoother, more efficient processes, ensuring accurate and immediate management of production operations and enhancing overall operational effectiveness.
